Must it Always Be This Way?

It seems like I’m always procrastinating. Sometimes I’ll justify it, and do other ‘important’ things. Sometimes I won’t even try, and will end up mindlessly perusing blogs when I really need to study. Heck, I’m procrastinating just by choosing to write this post right now! With a weekend whirlwind of tests, Stanford talks, and assignments starting tomorrow, studying is clearly imperative. But I can’t bring myself to actually sit down study.

Anything that I’m supposed to do seems to have a magically repelling force, and it’s impossible to actually do it. Often, I end up employing avoidant/avoidance coping, which, as you might imagine, becomes a vicious cycle. Occasionally, I’ll think about doing something to such an extent I’ve halfway convinced myself that I’ve actually accomplished the task by the time I’m through. It seems as if it started around 8th grade (incidentally, that was when I entered the normal school system).  Now that I’m in college, it is a really terrible habit that I must focus on fixing. But somehow, the subject has a convenient glass door in my brain- it can be analyzed, but the instant I try to do something about it, I’m redirected to something else. Le sigh.

Anyways, I realized I never posted any LA pictures (well, not really). Here are some of my favorites of the UCLA campus- it is just so unbelievably beautiful there.

The upper right two pictures are of their epic inverted fountain which recirculates the water at 10,000 gallons per minute (!!!), though I don’t think it was working when we went.

This was back in April, and the weather was perfect! It stayed in the high 60s and low 70s the entire time we were there. ;u; UCLA’s campus is located in a really posh area, and it’s super close to an area with more affordable apartments.

These last photos are from a little trip I took a couple days ago. The weather is really lovely up here! :3

Hehe, I hope you enjoyed the photos and weren’t too bothered by my little rant. ^ ^ Actually, I’m honestly thinking of moving to Blogspot, because I just like the layout and editing better for photos and such.
